Pig Iron have now reached the frontlines!

That's right, the revolutionary troopers are now sporting gasmasks and proper head protection to be able to lay siege with renewed fevor on the capitalist dogma! Rejoyce and report to the local revolutionary office to enroll and become a part of history as a Soldat!

I must say that I am mightily impressed by the match the Pig Iron Production heads are to the Red Blok Soldat! Best spent handfull of quids EVER! (And more will be allocated in the Pig Iron Productions budget soon(tm)! )

A view on the rest of my RPG Soldat and Cpt P. Vrachov:

Freakin' huge!

Now that I have my Cogs "in hand", I think it should only be fair if I share some intel on them. I have prepped a series of photos showing the sheer size of the clones and their infernal fighting machines.

First up is C-naps G36, Atis and a Gunslinger. Now, Atis isn't the shortest humanoid around (all my UNA troopers are at the club, so had to use therians... ). From my personal experience by having the Cogs in hand I gotta say that theyare FREAKING HUGE! They dwarf Karmans in height.

Next up is the Vandal vs Dotch Yaga. Thou they seem about the same height, not counting the weapons, I find the Vandal to be of less "mass". Furthermore the weapons of the 'Yaga dwarf those of the Vandal, but then again, the 'Blok goes for size and not for finesse. Quantum technology makes the smaller weapons of the Vandal equally potent.

Lastly we have the Prowler vs Nalkovany. They are about equal in terms of mass and height, thou the Prowler is just a tad bit taller. However, the durability of the Nalkovany trumph the Prowler in terms of massed stress during a short amount of time. However, the autorepair of the Prowler can potentially make it more effective unless faced with dedicated anti-tank firepower.

Lastly I'll ad some other photos for ya'all to look at. Enjoy!

First Contact.

Today it arrived. A simple box from France. Contained within were 4ooo points worth of COG clones and warmachines. Two COG Army boxes in other words. Awed, I sat and stared at them. At long last they had arrived. Many long months of longing for COGs have now been heeded and there they are. Trembleing I opened the first box and was surpriced by the quality of it all. Above and beyond what I have seen from Rackham to date! I kid you not.

As the impact of the emotions settled I began to, slowly and with a sence of reverance, unpack the boxes. Rackham has put good thought in the packaging. Only one part per box had fell off (an Warmonger arm in one and a Vandal kneepad in the other), and nothing else! If this is the future for Rackham packaging then it sure is bright! How many Baals, Dotch Yagas, Defender Snakes, Wing Troopers have had broken off or dismembered parts in their boxes? Needless to say, many to this date. But with this army box business, they have introduced a new kind of smartness in the packaging!

After removing the top layer to uncover the second, I went into a unpacking frenzy. Soon an army worthy of taking on anyone and live long enough to taunt them stood before me. Plans has been in motion for many many months to convert what the initial releases fails to make available in terms of Type1 and Type2 infantery. However, in doing so I would effectivly make 225 points worth of Warmongers rather useless. A moments hesitation, then I began to rip arms of all my Warmongers and half of the Sharpshooters.
Soon, I had before me a unit of Gunslingers as well as a unit of Stalkers. Beside me I had a pile of disarmed Warmongers and discarded Sharpshooter arms. Good additions to my bitz-box, thou I will make use of my disarmed Warmongers as Stalker proxies until I get the US-part of my COG-order.

Behold! The glorious vision I had before me as I contemplated my options; To convert right away or to wait for reinforcements before I convert up my Stalkers and Gunslingers. But as we all know, the temptation is far too great.

Thus was said and thus it was done. Here can my collection of COGs be seen in its current state. The picture is rather small, but in short it consists of:

2x Prowlers (top left)
2x Vandals (middle and right)
2x Stalker units led by C-naps G45 (top, "disarmed" proxies to the left)
1x Gunslinger unit led by C-naps G09 & G36 (front right)
1x Sharpshooter unit led by C-naps G09 & G36 (front left)

Now, all that is needed is a willing opponent to rain quantum death upon!

I am weak...

I heard a rumour the day before yesturday. Rather troubleing. It said simply that the Street-date for the Cog and Red Blok army boxes were 26th June in France... (And 3rd August in the rest of the world)

I couldn't resist the temptation and thus went over to Andre du Blup (http://www.antredublup.com) and promptly ordered a couple of Cog Army Boxes. Twise the cost of an US order of he two, but then again the US ones are a month away. A small price to pay to get a small head start.

Grand Blup himself confirmed that the army boxes will ship out from him tomorrow, and thus should be arriving at my door in about a week from now.

I can barely wait!

Project: Kraken update

I have now finnished the lower chassis of Kraken #2, but have also ran out of Wraiths! I have a pair on order to base #3s' lower chassis on, but until that order (containing Cog preorders) arrives, Kraken #3 is put on hold.

Just as well as I have still to figure out the weapons and then also how to mount the grenade-casings. (I will be using casings from underslung-grenade-launcher-grenades. Basicly the same model that the americans use for their M16 assault rifles, just made to fit our swedish ones... )

Anyways, back to the modelling table to tinker abit...
